  yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.

  we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.

  they had a few other friends there as well, including the new church pastor and his wife.

  i was checking some old threads and messages and came across people's messages and threads that have passed on ((dansk)) ((oompa)) two guys that i liked and shared some laughs / thoughts / hopes / encouraging words with.

  pulled at my heart strings.. you're still remembered.

  I remember Dansk in particular. Doing the candle light vigils for him.

  It is all so sad.

  You must be a very tender hearted Lady.

  hmmm.... how many of you, in the process of waking up, got really angry with websites like jwfacts.com etc.. etc... even calling them slanders etc?

  I didnt, I cried.

  I read on Kent's old board; the letters to Hitler. I was so upset and confused.

  I was inactive at the time , but I still defended the Society. I said they are just purist , when it came to scripture. I had wordly friends and I would ask them to be kind to them when they came to the door , that it was really hard for some people to do this if they were shy. Some said NO, becasue they let their children die over blood transfusion.

  But growing up with the fear of 1975 and the JW suggested persecution tactics that would be like Nazi Germany and used on 'us'. Reading and being obbsessed about Anne Frank and this time period of history. Well, I just cried.

  Later I got mad, but that was over the UN and the handeling of the pedos. Still get very mad about the pedos. As my daughter ended up being a victum of 3 JW adults.

  The CO asked for money tonight at the meeting.

  i was shocked i do not know why as i have read that the co's were doing this but to hear it with my own ears was unbelievable.

  i do not go to the meetings but my husband still does and this week is the co's visit.

  i decided that i would listen in to his talk; i swear i have lost some brain cells by doing it but anywho.. he started out by talking about the old story that has been in the wt many times about a little boy who was seven and raised a chicken and gave the money to the society.

  You know I'm going to take that idiots advice.

  I will be carefull not to over spend on things that I dont need. I will save my coins. If I ever have the space I'll raise some chickens.

  All good advice.

  But, I'll be putting it in my bank account for my winter years.

  Since I believed I would be petting lions and gardening in an ugly floral skirt by now.

  I'll check out Justified, I have that nasty flu and am boared to death, actualy, some deafness too. So up the volume! ;-)

  I forgot, Homeland. Noregrets is right. All acting is so perfect . It's as if they are truly their charactors. Try and watch it with out reading or hearing any commentary. Big plus , no singing to burst your immersion into a good dramatic story! (diss to a certain movie...;-)
